Highlands Concrete Constructions, specialist concreting contractor, NSW
Specialist concreting since 2009. Placed and finished to the tolerance the specification calls for.
Concrete is permanent. So is our standard.
A specialist concreting contractor since 2009. Concrete pumping, placement and finishing is the core of the business, held to the tolerance and finish the specification calls for across NSW. Family-owned, family-run, and every pour carries our name.
Builders bring us the work that leaves no room for error: tight tolerances, exposed finishes, difficult access, unforgiving programmes. Where a job calls for the whole structure under one contract, formwork and steel fixing are taken in with it.
The reputation was built pour by pour, on floors that had to be flat and programmes that had to hold. A family name on the work means the standard never changes with the size of the job.
Run from the slab, not the office.
Peter Gualtieri is a second-generation concreter with more than 35 years in the trade, and directs daily operations and the running of the work on site.
Daniel Venuto brings more than 15 years of commercial, operational and technical experience, and drives the growth and direction of the business.
What is promised at tender is what is built on site.
What we do.Six disciplines.
- Superflat Floors
- Structural Concrete
- Concrete Pumping
- Civil & External Works
- Architectural Finishes
- Formwork & Steel Fixing
Superflat Floors
Laser-screeded floors, held to the tolerance the specification calls for. Warehouse racking, cold storage, very narrow aisle racking and competition ice.
Structural Concrete
Suspended slabs, columns, cores and footings. Commercial, industrial and high-end residential structures built straight, level and on programme.
Concrete Pumping
Boom and line pumping. Difficult access, live sites and simultaneous multi-pump pours, placed where the reach is hardest.
Civil & External Works
Driveways, kerbing, retaining walls, hardstands and drainage infrastructure. Heavy-duty pavements built to the design and the loadings specified.
Architectural Finishes
Off-form, polished, exposed-aggregate and burnished finishes. Finishes that are meant to be seen, worked to the sample and consistent across the job.
Formwork & Steel Fixing
Pumping, placement and finishing is the core of the business. Where a job calls for the whole structure under one contract, formwork and steel fixing are coordinated with it: conventional, jump and table-form systems, set out and checked against the drawings.
Five steps.One standard.
Quality control is not the last step. The work is checked against the specification while it is being placed, not only once it has set.
Priced from your drawings and programme, against the specification and the sequence the job needs.Priced from your drawings and programme.

Competition Ice Rink & Sports Facilities
A competition ice surface has to be placed flat and stay flat. This 1,800 m² slab was placed in a single continuous pour and finished in 20 hours.
Read the case studyLarge Industrial Warehouses
Full warehouse floor plates delivered wall to wall: placed, laser-screeded and burnished to a dense, reflective finish.
Data Centres
Structural concrete for a data centre: columns and heavily propped suspended decks, poured by boom pump and finished to the flatness the data-hall specification sets.
Commercial Coolrooms
Coolroom and cold storage slabs placed and burnished inside the insulated envelope, finished dense and flat around penetrations, columns and panel walls.
Aged Care Communities
Aged care communities: footings, ground slabs and suspended decks placed across staged sites.
Patterned External Finishes
External pavements finished in the snake pattern: sweeping hand-worked arcs that give a large slab texture underfoot and a finish that reads from a distance.
Education Precincts
Simultaneous multi-pump deck pours across a school campus, and the courts and pavements around it. Pump, place and finish of all concrete elements, delivered around term-time constraints.
Civic & Community Buildings
Public buildings for local government: a community centre and library on a tight town-centre block, with suspended decks placed by boom pump above live streets and open shopfronts.
Mining & Remote Sites
Off-road agitators feeding a placing boom, with large-format slabs screeded and finished behind it.
Multi-Level Carparks
Carpark structures poured off-form and repeated cleanly deck over deck, ramp and edge walls included. Work like this lives on cycle time, so every pour is sequenced to land each deck on programme.
Residential Apartments
Concrete structure for a multi-storey residential development: columns, cores and suspended decks placed and finished floor by floor as the building climbs.

Our own machines.Our own standard.
Flatness, finish and programme stay in our hands, and the core plant is our own.
Callaghan concrete boom pumping, Somero laser screeds guided by 3D profiling, Allen ride-on and walk-behind power trowels, and the Dipstick floor profiler that measures the finished floor’s FF and FL.
Where a programme calls for more reach, more capacity or a machine outside our own fleet, it is brought in for the job.
